When and Why Do We Process Your Personal Data?

This policy applies to the data collected in connection with you becoming a customer with us, signing our engagement letter, and approving our processing of your personal data. Once a signed engagement letter is in place, Baker Tilly Stint AB has a legal basis to handle your personal data.

What Personal Data Do We Process About You?

The personal data we process when you become a customer with us is your name, address, personal identification number (personnummer), identification document, telephone number, email address, and, where applicable, information about related parties (audit).

In the case of job applications, information is deleted after two years, as required by the Discrimination Act to demonstrate how the recruitment process was conducted without discrimination. However, you have the option to approve that we retain your information for future use. In that case, Baker Tilly Stint AB has the right to handle the data until you notify us that you want to remove it.

How Long Do We Keep Personal Data?

We retain your personal data for the period that you are a customer with us. After a terminated engagement letter, however, we need to retain it to fulfil the requirements found in the Accounting Act (Bokföringslagen), which means that such data must be kept for seven years. For audit clients, we are required to retain the documentation for ten years.
